The European regulation for motorbike helmets is under revision in the UN and will change in the near future. In order to maintain the safety of the competition riders at the top level, the FIM is launching an exploration phase in September 2019 to determine which would be the requirements for the new FRHPhe-02 regulation.

The programme will also focus on the off-road helmets: until now, competition riders are using helmets only homologated for road usage, but the FIM wants to increase the riders’ safety in the same way as for circuit competitions.
